Greener Growth at Springfield Junior School

Suffolk Freemason’s Community Engagement Team were out today supporting CEO Jo Metcalfe and her team from Greener Growth at Springfield Junior School in Ipswich. Jo has agreed to transform the tarmac playgroup with three raised beds, pergolas to create shelter and collect water, seating areas and lots more projects!
Not only did the team volunteer but some of the members also provided timber, wood chipping and branches for the raised beds.
Paul Rackham Assistant Provincial Grandmaster for Suffolk said this about the event…

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the Light Blues who turned up today to support the Greener Growth Charity at Springfield School in Ipswich. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and willingness to get stuck in made a real difference, and it was genuinely uplifting to see you all there.
Please keep an eye out for our next community engagement event. These occasions are not only a chance to lend a helping hand—where many hands truly do make light work—but also a wonderful opportunity to meet up, strengthen friendships, and show the positive impact Freemasonry can have within our communities.
I am proud to be a Freemason, especially here in Suffolk, where our members continue to demonstrate what it means to serve with kindness, unity, and purpose.”
